What we did: “The Great Northern Tiling Company has worked on approximately 30 Pret A Manger stores for us. Each store involves the fitting of around 100m2 of brick slips to feature walls and approximately 50m2 of ceramic tiling to toilet walls, floors and the kitchen servery using crackle glaze tiles. These require pointing as per standard bricklaying.
“GNTC organize all materials including sand and cement to site which can sometimes be a challenge in central London locations. Some of the stores are refurbished while still trading. On these occasions GNTC staff work through the night and have a good clean up in the morning before the Pret staff arrive.”
