Hopefully everyone’s kept safe and warm during this wild weather we’ve endured this past week. In between being stranded on motorways, clearing snow and ice, walking into work and having the heating on full blast we’ve actually managed to get some work done!
Fingers crossed the severe weather warnings will have subsided before we travel over to Cwmbran in Wales to start tiling the 3 Mobile shop, a contract which we secured on Tuesday.
Another nice contract that we’ve won this week is for local builders DJ Atkinson Construction. We’ve got 12 new apartments to tile and conveniently they’re all in snowballing distance of our S20 business HQ- our tilers will be able to walk it there if the weather turns!
Feeling the full brunt of the arctic conditions this week was our contracts manager Glyn Teasdale who spent ten hours driving down to London in order to carry out the preliminary site visit/report at King’s College, London. The tiling work here starts imminently and is part of a £35 Million refurbishment overseen by Overbury, the UK’s leading office fitting and refurbishment specialist. The work includes renovation of campus interiors, new offices, teaching spaces and commercial kitchen areas.
This is a really exciting project for us, working at such a prestigious institution that is King’s College. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes tiling photos once work has begun…
